Meet Alexandra…
Alexandra Leal Silva is the Operations & Development Associate for California Common Cause.
Alexandra brings enthusiasm and joy to her work at California Common Cause. Alexandra co-leads the student programs, cultivates membership through small-donor programming, and maintains the operations of CA Common Cause running smoothly.
Prior to joining the California team, Alexandra worked as the Community Engagement Coordinator for the National Redistricting Team. From organizing workshops and seminars for a variety of communities including the Spanish-speaking community to helping oversee a mini-grant program, Alexandra wanted to ensure that community voices are heard in every step of this vital process. Before joining the California Common Cause team as a staff member, Alexandra previously worked for California Common Cause as an Election & Voting Intern helping organize the Election Protection program that sent over 500 volunteers throughout the Southern California.
Prior to that role, Alexandra worked as a Basic Needs Organizer and led nearly a hundred students in advocacy & lobbying campaigns while serving as UC Santa Barbara’s Lobby Corp co-chair.
A Southern California native, Alexandra holds a BA in History of Public Policy & Law from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
