California Common Cause has been holding public officials accountable since we championed the Political Reform Act in 1974. This landmark legislation created the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC), regulating campaign financing and spending, financial conflicts of interest, lobbyist registration and reporting, and gifts and honoraria given to public officials and candidates.

CCC continues to join the FPPC in advocating stronger campaign finance regulations and ethics reform. Use the links on this page to learn more about our campaigns.
