(Honolulu, HI)— Common Cause Hawaii announces the appointment of Tony Donnes to their board of directors, effective immediately.

Tony Donnes is a Honolulu attorney who has practiced at the law firm Schlack Ito, LLLC where he focused on civil litigation, and also worked as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney with the City and County of Honolulu’s Department of the Prosecuting Attorney.   In addition to his work with Common Cause Hawaii, Tony is also a board member of the Litigation Section of the Hawaii State Bar Association.

“Over the past several years, Tony has helped Common Cause Hawaii as a volunteer, focusing on money in politics issues, after the disastrous Citizens United decision. We are thrilled that he has joined the board, during this critical time in our democracy,” said Corie Tanida, Executive Director, Common Cause Hawaii.
