The House Committee on the Judiciary passed House Bill 2533 which would create a citizen-funding option for state House elections.

Common Cause Hawaii has been awarded $20,000 from the Piper Fund, to support CCHI’s efforts to conduct public education, advocacy, and outreach to establish Hawaii’s first statewide Clean Elections program.

HB2590 will allow eligible voters to register to vote ten days prior to election day at early walk-in sites by 2016, and will allow for Election Day voter registration at precinct polling places and early walk-in polling places by 2018.
