Ariana Marmolejo is a Regional Communications Strategist with Common Cause, working to support the organization’s western states in their mission to create an inclusive, multi-racial democracy that works for everyone.
Before joining the Common Cause team, she worked with grassroots civil rights organizations and local political campaigns in California, to build political power and promote economic prosperity in the state’s rural regions and to empower residents to organize against the systems of oppression that have historically exploited and restricted working class folks and people of color. During the 2020 redistricting cycle, she helped organize for fair maps throughout the state at all levels of government, and educated community members on the basics of redistricting and how to make their voices heard.
Ariana is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, and believes that the West Coast is, in fact, the best coast. When she’s not working, you can find her relaxing in nature, thrifting for vintage clothing, practicing Pilates, and spending quality time with her beloved, three-legged cat, Roberto.
