Jose Silva
Policy Research Democracy FellowJose (he/him) was born and raised in the RGV, where his passion for public service began volunteering in his community. He earned a bachelors in applied sociology from TXST University and is now working towards a masters of public affairs at the LBJ school of public affairs in Austin. His professional experience ranges from working in Capitol Hill with Congressman Gonzalez from South Texas and working for state Senator Carol Alvarado.
Michelle Pineda
Communications Democracy FellowMichelle (she/her/ella) was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University (whoop!) in May 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and will begin her Master’s degree in Education Policy and Leadership from American University this fall. She has been a teacher for three years and has done advocacy work for public education.
Eos Sison
Communications & Policy Research Democracy FellowEos (she/her) recently graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Political Science. Before Common Cause, she has had experience doing advocacy work with Texas Rising and Battleground Texas, was an intern on Mike Collier’s 2022 campaign for Texas Lieutenant Governor, and conducted research as a member of the UH Election Lab. This summer she is joining Common Cause as a Policy Research and Communications Fellow.
