Meet Marliza…
Marliza (she/her) was born and raised in El Paso, TX, but she currently resides in Austin, TX. She graduated from Texas state University with three Bachelors of Arts degrees in Political Science, History and Psychology. She is currently working on her Masters of Public Affairs at the L.B.J. School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin.
Before Common Cause, Marliza worked as the Subpopulations Coordinator at the Texas Homeless Network working to make youth and veteran homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring across the state of Texas through collaboration, research and system change work. Marliza also worked at MOVE Texas, a nonpartisan organization focused on building power in underrepresented youth communities through civic education and leadership development.
