Today is a day of celebration for all of those who care about freedom and democracy, with the Supreme Court recognizing the vital importance of what remains of the Voting Rights Act to protect Americans from the insidious effects of discrimination.

The major voting rights case is scheduled for oral arguments in front of the U.S. Supreme Court on Dec. 7.

On Thursday, October 27 at 1 p.m. EST, Common Cause and the Southern Coalition for Social Justice will hold a media briefing to discuss the legal arguments and strategy behind the fight to defend our democracy in Moore v. Harper.
