Rhode Island has the longest voter registration deadline of any state–30 days. No single reform will do more to increase voter turnout than adopting same day voter registration. Common Cause Rhode Island is leading a coalition effort to put a constitutional amendment on the ballot in November 2024 removing the 30-day deadline from our state constitution.
