Meet Sam..
Sam serves as Common Cause’s Development Operations Manager. Their tasks include forming connections with the organization’s monthly donors and supporting the Development team. They are a DC transplant, originating from Iowa, whose passion lies in activism with a focus on LGBTQ+/queer issues and anti-racism.
Before joining the Common Cause team, Sam worked with the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Sam is proudest of their efforts supporting HRC’s multiple education and outreach programs, collaborating with coworkers to create employee resource groups and leading the trans/nonbinary ERG, and utilizing de-escalation training during marriage equality demonstrations outside the Supreme Court.
