St. Aug’s students help Raleigh residents get ready to vote a full ballot

With early voting underway across North Carolina and Election Day fast approaching, Common Cause NC Democracy Fellows from Saint Augustine’s University spent an afternoon distributing our 2016 NC Voter Guide at local Raleigh businesses.

There, the students spoke to residents about the importance of learning about so-called “down-ballot” candidates and casting a complete ballot this election.

North Carolina has one of the longer ballots in the nation, with voters deciding not only the race for the White House, but also dozens of statewide and local contests – from governor and Council of State, to the legislature and state courts, and many more.

Common Cause NC partnered with Democracy NC on the nonpartisan voter guide, which has been widely distributed across North Carolina.
