Drawing Fair Maps
Delaware law stipulates that district lines "may not be drawn to unduly favor any person or political party." Therefore, legislators should not draw district lines to favor either the majority party or incumbent politicians. Delawareans deserve a transparent redistricting process they can trust, with adequate room for public input, and a map that respects communities of interest. CCDE supports the creation of an independent redistricting commission.
We're pushing for fair electoral maps.
Fair maps means counting everyone equally, playing by the rules, and having a transparent process. We must end practices like gerrymandering to a create a democracy where everyone’s voice is heard and every vote matters.
