Colorado’s Redistricting Commission Needs YOU!

Creating fair maps for all Coloradans

Colorado's independent redistricting commission is accepting applications, and there's a lot of ways to get involved!

August Happy Hour: Protecting the Census and Redistricting

President Trump’s administration is once again attacking the 2020 Census, and with the door-to-door count about to begin, we need to take action to ensure that everyone is counted. Join Colorado Common Cause Executive Director Amanda Gonzalez and staff for a discussion on how Common Cause is fighting back against this administration’s unconstitutional actions, the next steps in the 2020 Census, and how to join Colorado’s independent redistricting commission.

For the August edition of Colorado Common Cause’s monthly happy hour, we gathered our staff to discuss the 2020 Census and its importance to Colorado’s new independent redistricting commissions. The independent redistricting commissions opened applications on August 10, and will soon be using Census data to draw our congressional and legislative districts for the next decade.

Over the next year and a half, for the first time in our state’s history, ordinary people will have the opportunity to give their input, provide feedback, and even serve on the commissions that draw our districts. We helped advocate for the creation of a redistricting process that’s independent, transparent, and accessible for all Coloradans, and we’re committed to getting you everything you need to make your voice and your community’s needs heard.

If you want to be a part of the redistricting process, you can sign up here to get involved in the fight for fair maps!
