Common Cause Pennsylvania Statement on Supreme Court’s Redistricting Decision

Yesterday, the Supreme Court of the United States denied an application to stay implementation of Pennsylvania’s congressional map.

Yesterday’s decision from the Supreme Court of the United States is good news for Pennsylvanians. The Supreme Court upheld the rule of law, including decades of settled precedent and practice governing the role of state supreme courts in the redistricting and elections processes.  We will continue to monitor this litigation because all Pennsylvanians deserve voting maps where their voices can be heard.
