NCCU students march to the polls to honor voting rights legacy

Dozens of students at NC Central University in Durham gathered on Monday to honor those who fought for their right to vote by marching together to cast ballots at an early voting site.

“I stand here today extremely humbled because I know that I must contribute the rights I have today to the men and women who risked their lives to advocate for this,” said Rebekah Barber, an English major at NCCU and a Democracy Fellow with Common Cause North Carolina.
