Common Cause Georgia Applauds Release of Fulton County Special Grand Jury Report

ATLANTA — The extent of the criminal conspiracy to overturn Georgia voters’ will in the 2020 election was made clearer Friday, after a Fulton County special grand jury report was released.

Common Cause Georgia has urged full disclosure of the report, in the interest of transparency, as well as accountability for those who conspired to disregard the will of Georgia voters.

The following is a statement from Aunna Dennis, Common Cause Georgia’s executive director:

“Today’s release of the grand jury report brings us closer to having a full understanding of the egregious and dangerous conspiracy to overturn the valid and sacred choices made by Georgians in the 2020 presidential election.

Transparency is a key tenet of our democracy.  I applaud the decision to release this grand jury report so that we, the people of Georgia, can decide how to lead our state forward.

During these times of false narratives and fear-mongering, we want to condemn those who have perpetrated relics of the past by threatening and harassing the brave grand jurors. We are grateful for the grand jurors’ service as they took a stand to uphold civic duties and uplift the rights of Georgia voters.”

We will all be watching what unfolds in these Fulton County courtrooms as accountability comes for those who illegally conspired to insult, disregard, and disrespect the choices of Georgia voters.”
