Pennsylvania House and Senate Committees Consider Proposals to Make Voting More Difficult

Common Cause Pennsylvania adamantly opposes both proposals. HB 1300 in its current form will place multiple restrictions on the voting process that millions of Pennsylvanians have come to depend on. SB 735 is expected to lower turnout among Black, young and new voters.

Arizona Sham Election Review Has Destroyed Ballots and Voting Machines

Pennsylvania Sen. Doug Mastriano visited the Arizona State Fairgrounds yesterday, where charlatan consultants have been conducting a sham review of the November 2020 general election. Voting machines and ballots have been irrevocably destroyed in the process. He is  proposing to replicate the process in Pennsylvania.

MarcellusMoney.org Report Shows Gas Industry Contributions to PA Officials Remain Steady

Harrisburg – A new study finds that the natural gas industry continues to spend exorbitant amounts of money to influence Pennsylvania politicians – even in “off-year” election cycles. In 2015, the oil and gas industry spent over $8 million on lobbying. The total lobbying money spent by the industry since 2007 has been $55.9 million.

Government Reform Group Calls On Pennsylvania Legislature to Enact Four Easy Pieces of Basic Reforms By The End of June

“Moving clean government laws is never easy in the Pennsylvania legislature, but these are four easy pieces of basic reform – truly the low hanging fruit in a large orchard of overdue government reforms” said Common Cause Pennsylvania Executive Director Barry Kauffman. With the current legislative session nearly three-quarters completed, and despite ethics scandals rocking the capitol with troubling frequency, the General Assembly still has not passed any significant laws this session to clean up Pennsylvania government.
