Common Cause NC statement on NC Senate passing bill to restore final Saturday of early voting

RALEIGH – On a bipartisan vote Tuesday, the NC Senate approved Senate Bill 683, which includes a provision to restore the final Saturday of early voting. The bill now goes to the NC House for consideration.

The following is a statement from Bob Phillips, executive director of Common Cause NC:

“We applaud Senators Floyd McKissick, Warren Daniel and Ralph Hise for leading the bipartisan effort to restore the final Saturday of early voting, which will benefit North Carolinians across the state and improve access to the ballot box. We urge the NC House to likewise pass Senate Bill 683 and restore the important final Saturday of early voting.”
