Less than a week until Election Day, students from Shaw University and Saint Augustine's University teamed up for a march to the polls event.

Many North Carolinians interested in making their voices heard in the 2022 midterm election have faced institutional, economic and informational challenges. According to Bob Phillips, the executive director of Common Cause North Carolina, these major barriers undermine the ability of eligible voters to understand and execute their electoral privilege.

Students at Livingstone College will take part in a voting pep rally, bus to the polls and party at the polls event on Wednesday to make their voices heard in this year’s election.

Before the start of homecoming, Aggies took to the polls for “Vote-Coming.” On Friday, N.C. A&T and Bennett College hosted an early voting day party encouraging students to make their voices heard in this upcoming election.

The Supreme Court is considering two cases that will have reaching implications for voting rights.

The students will be hosting a bus to the polls and a block party to kick-off early voting.
