Rapid Response Call: NC Supreme Court rulings on voting rights

Last week, a new Republican majority on the NC Supreme Court issued three shameful decisions that undermine our democracy. The court ignored constitutional protections and opened the door to extreme gerrymandering, while also reinstating a requirement to provide photo ID when voting – proven to be racially discriminatory – and stripped voting rights away from 56,000 North Carolinians with felony convictions.

Common Cause NC hosted a rapid response call on Monday night to discuss these court rulings and how we the People can protect our democracy against threats from extremist politicians.
