CCMD People’s Lobby Day of Action!

Are you ready to take action for democracy? Join us for a day of action in Annapolis on Monday, February 24, from 4:30 pm to 8 pm!
Together, we’ll meet with lawmakers, share our stories, and advocate for the passage of the Maryland Voting Rights Act, the Voting Rights for All Act, special elections for legislative vacancies, and more. We’ll also support critical legislation to protect immigrant communities. This is your opportunity to make your voice heard and demand that the General Assembly prioritize democracy reforms.
Before heading to the Senate and House of Delegates, we’ll meet at The Graduate Hotel to provide all the resources you need, from talking points and branded gear to a supportive team by your side. Light refreshments will also be available. A tentative agenda is included below. More logistics will be shared once registered.
Tentative Schedule
- 4:30 pm – Meet at The Graduate Hotel for a short overview of the day of action plan and objectives. We’ll also review all materials and legislative priorities and conduct a short advocacy training. Talking points will be provided, and you will be assigned to a team with staff.

- 5:45 pm – Meet in small groups with legislators who serve on the target committees. You will also have the opportunity to visit other offices.
