“It’s no surprise Georgia received failing grades for redistricting when voters were shut out at almost every point of the process,” said Aunna Dennis, Common Cause Georgia executive director.

"Today’s indictment is a necessary step to holding former President Donald Trump and his associates accountable for the calculated and immoral attempt to reject the will of Georgia voters in the 2020 election."

This afternoon, a Georgia judge ordered Rudy Giuliani to testify in Atlanta next month in an ongoing criminal investigation into former President Donald Trump and his criminal co-conspirators' efforts to overturn the will of the voters in the 2020 presidential election.

“We have long supported redistricting at every level of our government that is fair, transparent, and protects the needs of communities who have been historically sidelined by those in power. Unfortunately, what we are seeing in Athens-Clarke County violates every single one of these principles,” said Aunna Dennis, executive director of Common Cause Georgia.

Voting rights groups and Georgia voters filed a lawsuit in federal court today charging that the 6th, 13th, and 14th Congressional Districts of Georgia violate the Constitution and unlawfully diminish the voting power of voters of color.
