Feb. 22nd, 2021, 10:30AM- Legislative Hearing on Early Voting and No Excuse Absentee Voting

Please submit written testimony to gaetestimony@cga.ct.gov and/or zoom in to speak at the virtual public hearing in the legislative Government Administration and Elections (GAE) Committee. Public testimony will be heard on Early Voting (HJ 59) and No Excuse Absentee Voting (HJ 58.)

Over 650,000 CT voters voted by absentee ballot in the 2020 General Election–which means they voted early on their own schedules. However this was a temporary measure and we need to enact Early Voting and No Excuse Absentee Voting.

Please submit written testimony to AND/OR speak live at AND/OR watch the virtual public hearing in the legislative Government Administration and Elections (GAE) Committee on Monday, Feb. 22nd at 10:30am. Public testimony will be heard on Early Voting (HJ 59) and No Excuse Absentee Voting (HJ 58.)

You can help make sure these critically important voting rights expansions move forward by submitting written testimony on both bills to the GAE Committee to gaetestimony@cga.ct.gov. You do not have to submit in writing to speak live.  There is no deadline for written submissions.  Speaker registration will close on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 3:00 PM.

Also, be on the lookout for a later legislative hearing (not yet scheduled) on Automatic Voter Registration and Restoration of Voting Rights to Individuals on Parole.
