Curbing the influence of money in politics

Money has too much influence in our elections, so Common Cause in Connecticut is working for an equitable democracy in which everyone can make their voices heard.  Our activism helped create the Citizens’ Election Program, which empowers small dollar donors by supplementing their contributions with public matching funds.  The program strengthens our democracy by allowing candidates of modest means to compete with the wealthy and well-connected.
