The 2023 legislative session in Connecticut was one for the books.

“Connecticut voters deserve the absolute best version of democracy. Knowing where your candidates stand on these issues is the first step toward making Connecticut a leader in the freedom to vote.”

Tonight’s verdicts were a step toward police accountability. But they don’t change the fact of George Floyd’s death. They don’t change the horrifying circumstances of his death. 

Disenfranchising people on parole sustains a racist system of inequality

It is time for Connecticut to move from being one of the most restrictive states in the country to becoming a state that makes sure that every voter can participate without unnecessary barriers to voting, and we can do it this year.
