Shaw is an expert strategist and pro-democracy advocate with more than 16 years of leadership experience spanning non-profit organizations, state and local governance, and national campaigns. Prior to joining Common Cause, she served as the president of the Wisconsin Women’s Network and the cross-state senior campaign manager for All Voting is Local, where she advanced strategies to protect democracy and expand access to the ballot across eight key states, including in Wisconsin. 

Shaw’s career has included service as a political appointee at the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families where she directed the Office of Urban Development and oversaw equitable childcare initiatives, distributing more than $2.2 million in funding. She has also led workforce and economic development efforts through the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and advised state policy in the legislature.
