The Future of Voting Rights in Rhode Island
Join Common Cause RI, members of the Rhode Island Voting Access Coalition, and Secretary of State Gregg Amore for a discussion about the history of the voting rights movement, including the passage of the federal Voting Rights Act of 1965, and its impact on Rhode Island voters. Current threats to voting rights will also be considered, as well as legislative solutions like the Rhode Island Voting Rights Act.
This civic education event, organized by Common Cause Rhode Island, is free and open to the public.
