Two years ago, the Oregon legislature passed HB 4024, which finally put limits on the amount of money that could be spent to influence Oregon's elections and politics. After passing the bill, legislators promised to come back the next year to clean up any technical ambiguities in the legislation. Legislators broke their promise and last year they quietly tried to slip through a bill in the last week of session to push off implementation of campaign finance reform into the next decade! Together, we shut that down. But they’ll likely try again...
