Meet Our ’21 Summer Interns!

Meet Simone Volman!

Simone Volman is a rising sophomore at the University of Maryland majoring in Government and Politics. During the school year, she competes on the mock trial team, serves on the cabinet of Phi Alpha Delta (a national pre-law fraternity), and is actively involved in her sorority, Sigma Kappa. She is so excited to begin working on developing a campaign about redistricting in Maryland this summer. “I hope to be able to educate Marylanders about the redistricting process and help give them the opportunity to be more involved in the process.”

 

Meet Aleksandra Petrovic!

Aleksandra Petrovic is the summer Development Intern. She recently graduated with a bachelor’s in Philosophy and a minor in Human Psychology. She is currently based in Salt Lake City. She is passionate about politics and loves raising money for causes she believes in. “I am excited to support Maryland’s Common Cause fundraising efforts around Maryland’s redistricting.” She hopes to learn everything that she can about fundraising and development. Her previous work centered around violence prevention. In her free time, she loves to read and hike with her two German Shepherds.
