Election Day 2022: How Common Cause is Defending Voters

Common Cause volunteers and staff worked around the clock on Election Day to help eligible voters cast their ballots and take part in our democracy.

Together, we assisted thousands of people, pushed back against online disinformation, helped alert affected voters of last-minute polling changes, and spread a powerful, pro-democracy narrative through voting and counting. Here are some of our stories:

In New Mexico’s first year with #SameDayRegistration, 14,000 New Mexicans registered to vote at the polls and cast their ballot.
