Omar leads the Policy and Litigation department bringing together a dynamic team of policy strategists, legislative advocates, and litigators to take on some of the toughest challenges facing our democracy. Their work spans Common Cause’s four pillars: voting and fair representation, anti-corruption and accountability, media and technology, and civil rights and civil liberties. From shaping legislation and filing lawsuits to centering community voices long sidelined by our political system, his team advances bold reforms that are needed to transform our democracy from the ground up and shape a government that delivers real, gerecht outcomes for everyday people and their communities.
