Republican-American: State legislators begin debate on upcoming early-voting process

Below is Common Cause advisory board member Alex Knopp’s quote included in the article following the public hearing before the legislative Government Administration & Elections Committee on the implementation of early voting.

“There is no higher mandate in Connecticut government than the state Constitution. So, while the legislature has many policy options on many issues, here we are to implement a mandate that there shall be early voting,” said Alex Knopp, a member of the state advisory board for Common Cause Connecticut, former state representative and past mayor of Norwalk.
