Laurel Brodzinsky is the Legislative Director for California Common Cause and is based in Sacramento.
Laurel Brodzinsky has over 8 years of experience in state-level policy research and development in California. Before joining California Common Cause in 2022, she worked as the Legislative Director to former Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez. She served as the lead staff on legislation to expand access to the ballot and make voting easier, including mail ballot delivery and prepaid postage for mail ballots, and assisted in the legislation and implementation conversations around automatic voter registration. She also has provided support on political campaigns and to organizations involved in the 2021 statewide redistricting process.
Laurel earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from UC San Diego, and a master’s degree in Government from Sacramento State University.
