Voter Suppression

Most of Americans assume that voter suppression ended when poll taxes were lifted and literacy tests banned. Unfortunately, it continues. Even in the 21st century, some states are enacting laws and policies that obstruct the right to vote. The new suppression tactics look different and are more subtle, but have the same effect: they make it harder to vote and in many cases effectively disenfranchise voters. Colorado Common Cause is fighting to preserve the right of all eligible Colorado residents to vote.
