This session, a proposed Voter ID bill (HB 771) would have increased voter ID requirements for all in-person voting, disenfranchising voters, causing longer lines at the polls, and straining the resources of county election administrations. Luckily, that bill never made it to a floor vote in Harrisburg. And while that bill was pulled, it’s critical that these same burdensome and disenfranchising policies are not used as bargaining chips in the ongoing budget negotiations in Harrisburg....
