Bring this with you when you vote on Election Day or when you vote by absentee ballot. <strong>Please note<\/strong>: Your Wisconsin Drivers License does NOT need to be a federal Real ID to the photo ID to vote in Wisconsin. (The federal Real ID version of the WI Drivers License has a gold star in the upper right corner.)\r\n\r\nIf you do not have a WI DMV ID product, then you can use an ID from the official list from the Wisconsin Elections Commission. You need to have lived at your current address for at least 28 days by Election Day in order to register to vote in that election district or ward.\r\n\r\n<b>If you have a Wisconsin driver license or a Wisconsin DMV-issued ID, then you're all set. You can register using the state issued number on this ID.<\/b>\r\n\r\nYou can still register to vote without a Wisconsin DMV card. There are plenty of documents you can use and many ways to complete your voter registration.\r\n\r\nIf you're not already registered, there are several ways you can register to vote:\r\n\r\n<b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Online<\/span>.<\/b>\u00a0Eligible voters in Wisconsin who have a\u00a0<b>valid Wisconsin driver license or a Wisconsin DMV-issued ID<\/b> can register online at <b><a href=\"https:\/\/myvote.wi.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MyVote.WI.gov<\/a><\/b>\u00a0up to 20 days before the election in which they are planning to vote.\r\n\r\n<b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">By Mail<\/span>.<\/b>\u00a0You can start your voter registration form online at\u00a0<b><a href=\"https:\/\/myvote.wi.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MyVote.WI.gov<\/a><\/b>\u00a0\u2013 then print, sign and mail it to your municipal clerk along with a proof of residence (POR) document. Your form and POR must be received no later than 20 days before the election in which you are planning to vote.\r\n\r\n<b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">In your Municipal Clerk\u2019s Office<\/span>.<\/b>\u00a0You can register in-person in your municipal clerk\u2019s office\u00a0<u>up until the 5pm (or close of business) on the Friday before the election in which you are planning to vote<\/u>. You'll need to bring a proof of residence document to complete your registration (this document can be shown electronically. For example, your bank statement from your phone that shows your address).\r\n\r\n<b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">At the Polls on Election Day<\/span>.<\/b>\u00a0If you're unable to register by any of the methods above, and decide to forgo early voting, you can still register\u00a0<b>at the polls on Election Day<\/b>. You will need to present a proof of residence document when registering (again, this document can be shown electronically). If your driver\u2019s license or state ID card has your\u00a0<i>current address<\/i>, that\u2019s all you need.\r\n\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/elections.wi.gov\/Register\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Find more official information and examples of proof of residence documents from the Wisconsin Elections Commission<\/b><\/a>.\r\n\r\nSave time and hassle.
