Elections are just getting started in Wisconsin. As you prepare to vote in this year’s elections, here are some wonderful opportunities for how you can help protect our freedom to vote in Wisconsin.

Be an Election Day Observer

The League of Women Voters of Wisconsin is recruiting volunteers from across the state to serve as election observers for the April 7th Election. Volunteer election observers help ensure we have a fair election by watching for signs of voter disenfranchisement and intimidation, and by monitoring the way Wisconsin’s election laws and procedures are being applied. Even if you only have a couple of hours on Election Day, you can still make a difference. Sign up to be an election observer today! You can learn more about the program through the LWVWI webpage. And you can sign up to be an Election Observer here. ***NOTE: Volunteer sign up for the LWVWI program closes on March 16th.

ACLU WI is organizing volunteer legal and law student election observers for the April 7th election. Lawyers can sign up here. And law students can sign up here.

All observer programs are nonpartisan.

Become a Poll Worker

Poll workers are vital to making the voting process safe, secure, and smooth. If you’re able, consider becoming a poll worker for your municipality and within your county. You can work at a polling location as long as you reside in the same county as the polling location. Please sign up now so you’re able to attend the necessary training sessions. Contact your municipal clerk through MyVote.wi.gov to find out how to become a poll worker.
