Common Cause is leading many of these initiatives that aim to #FightBigMoney and create a government truly of, by, and for the people.&nbsp;<br \/> <br \/> TRONG&nbsp;<strong>Alaska<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pfdvoter.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">automatic voter registration<\/a> is on the ballot to ensure our elections are secure and accessible to all eligible voters.&nbsp;<br \/> <br \/> TRONG&nbsp;<strong>California<\/strong>, voters will vote on two good statewide initiatives to increase transparency in the legislature and call on Congress to pass a constitutional amendment to overturn&nbsp;Citizens United. A small-dollar donor, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commoncause.org\/vi\/van-de-2\/tien-trong-chinh-tri\/public-financing-of-campaigns\/berkeley\/berkeley-fair-elections.html\/\" target=\"_blank\">citizen funded election program<\/a> also&nbsp;is on the ballot in Berkeley, and in Sacramento voters will decide on an initiative to create a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commoncause.org\/vi\/democracy-wire\/sacramento-redistricting-referendum.html\/\" target=\"_blank\">local&nbsp;independent redistricting commission.<br \/> <\/a><br \/> TRONG&nbsp;<strong>Ti\u1ec3u bang Maryland<\/strong>, voters in&nbsp;Howard County will vote on a small-dollar donor, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.democracyinitiative.org\/fair-elections-howard-county\" target=\"_blank\">citizen funded elections program.<br \/> <\/a><br \/> TRONG&nbsp;<strong>Missouri<\/strong>, an initiative will appear on the ballot to create <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Missouri_State_and_Judicial_Campaign_Contribution_Limits,_Constitutional_Amendment_2_(2016)\" target=\"_blank\">contribution limits and increase disclosure.<br \/> <\/a><br \/> TRONG&nbsp;<strong>\u0110\u1ea3o Rhode<\/strong>, voters will consider an initiative to allow the <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Rhode_Island_Ethics_Commission_Amendment,_Question_2_(2016)\" target=\"_blank\">state ethics commission<\/a> to investigate and police the state legislature.&nbsp;<br \/> <br \/> TRONG&nbsp;<strong>Washington<\/strong>, two statewide democracy reform questions will be presented to voters: one would create a <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Washington_State-Provided_Campaign_Financing_Funded_by_a_Non-Resident_Sales_Tax,_Initiative_1464_(2016)\" target=\"_blank\">citizen funded elections program<\/a> and strengthen disclosure and lobbying laws; the other&nbsp;would&nbsp;call on Congress to pass a constitutional amendment to <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Washington_Advisory_Question_about_the_Rights_of_Corporations_and_Money_as_Free_Speech,_Initiative_735_(2016)\">overturn the Supreme Court's&nbsp;<em>C\u00f4ng d\u00e2n Hoa K\u1ef3<\/em> decision.<\/a><\/div>"}}]},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v26.6 (Yoast SEO v27.1.1) -
