Sabihin sa Kongreso: TANGGILAN ang pagpopondo ni Trump para sa hindi makatarungang pagsalakay sa ICE
Hindi natin hahayaan na maging bagong normal ang crackdown ni Trump sa Los Angeles.
Dapat tumanggi ang Kongreso na pondohan ang mga pag-atakeng ito sa ating mga karapatan, sa ating mga kapitbahay, at sa ating malayang pananalita – at TANGGILAN ang kahilingan ni Trump na bilyun-bilyong dolyar pa upang pondohan ang mga pagsalakay sa ICE sa ating mga lugar ng trabaho at paaralan.
People across the country are rising up and exercising the basic right to peaceful protest, demanding an end to Trump’s unlawful detentions and the pain they’re inflicting on families just trying to work and survive.
But instead of listening, President Trump is responding with military force. [1]
Against the wishes of local elected officials and law enforcement, he’s deploying the National Guard to Los Angeles and threatening to send in Marines – not to protect anyone, but to provoke confrontation.
Trump has already spent at least $134 million to militarize Los Angeles [2] and is demanding Congress give him billions of dollars more to continue funding ICE raids in our workplaces and schools. [3] Every dollar spent on this hateful crackdown is a dollar taken from healthcare, food, and the services our communities actually need. Congress can – and must – step in now.
Tell Congress: REJECT Trump’s funding for unjust ICE raids and end this crackdown on our most fundamental rights.
