Restore PBS and NPR Funding Now
Congress must restore funding for PBS and NPR – which Americans consistently rank as the most trustworthy networks for news and public affairs.
Attacks on PBS and NPR are attempts to silence independent media. We must protect free, fact-based journalism and ensure access to trusted programming for all Americans.
When Trump slashed $1.1 billion from public media, he tried to rob countless Americans of some of the last trusted sources of independent news in this country.
And it’s no mystery why.
PBS and NPR continue to produce hard-hitting, impartial reporting on issues like ICE agents’ violence in our communities [1], Trump’s illegal war with Iran [2], and the Epstein crimes [3] – even though people in power want those stories buried.
As major corporate networks get bought up by Trump’s billionaire friends, cave to political pressure, settle lawsuits, and soften coverage to stay in Trump’s favor [4], PBS and NPR refuse to back down.
Trump is trying to erase public media piece by piece because it won’t bend to him. But if we act now, Congress can still step in and stop the damage.
Sign the Petition: Congress must restore funding for PBS and NPR before it’s too late. Free, fact-based public news is essential to our democracy >>
