Son bureau a \u00e9galement menac\u00e9 de poursuivre le comt\u00e9 de Harris pour la m\u00eame raison.\r\n\r\n<strong>En r\u00e9ponse aux poursuites judiciaires, Anthony Gutierrez, directeur ex\u00e9cutif de Common Cause Texas, a publi\u00e9 la d\u00e9claration suivante :<\/strong>\r\n\r\n\u00c0 environ quatre semaines de la date limite d&#039;inscription sur les listes \u00e9lectorales, Ken Paxton tente d&#039;utiliser son poste pour dissuader les collectivit\u00e9s locales de simplement encourager l&#039;inscription de nouveaux \u00e9lecteurs. Le Texas poss\u00e8de d\u00e9j\u00e0 le syst\u00e8me d&#039;inscription \u00e9lectorale le plus archa\u00efque et le plus complexe du pays. Dans la grande majorit\u00e9 des autres \u00c9tats, les \u00e9lecteurs \u00e9ligibles peuvent s&#039;inscrire plus de 30 jours avant le jour du scrutin et ce, en ligne. Il s&#039;agit l\u00e0 d&#039;une nouvelle tentative de Ken Paxton pour limiter la participation \u00e9lectorale en entravant l&#039;acc\u00e8s des Texans aux urnes.
