CONSUMERS TO DEMONSTRATE OUTSIDE 3M SHAREHOLDERS MEETING

3m to consider resolutions on refraining completely from political spending

WHAT:Consumers and advocacy groups including Common Cause, Take Action Minnesota, Minnesotans for a Fair Economy and 99Power, to rally outside 3M shareholders to call on them to refrain from political spending. On Tuesday, 3M shareholder will consider a resolution that would require the corporation to refrain from political spending, both directly and indirectly via third-party vehicles. Also on the ballot is a shareholder proposal calling for greater transparency around the company’s lobbying activities.
