Stephanie is the Associate Director of Common Cause Texas. A native Houstonian, Stephanie has over six years of experience in organizing, policy analysis, and advocacy.
Prior to joining Common Cause Texas, Stephanie managed the high school voter campaign at the Texas Civil Rights Project, where she led statewide efforts to boost compliance with Texas’s high school voter registration law.
Stephanie’s experience includes several electoral and advocacy campaigns, supporting academic and community programming for the Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies department at the University of Houston, and as a staffer at the US House of Representatives through the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. An alumna of the University of Houston, Stephanie holds a Master of Political Social Work and a Master of Public Policy from the Graduate College of Social Work and Hobby School of Public Affairs.
Outside of her work, Stephanie is a dedicated community activist, and serves on the board of two statewide organizations advancing reproductive justice.
