Meet Louisa…
Louisa Imperiale is a veteran political and nonprofit fundraiser. She holds a PhD in Media, Technology, and Democracy, and her dissertation research centered on the role of money in politics and the deregulation of campaign finance since Watergate. She also holds a Master of Business Administration in Strategy and Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Nonprofit Management. Most recently, Louisa served as Chief Advancement Officer of American University’s School of Communication, where she was also a member of the adjunct faculty.
As a political fundraiser, Louisa coordinated major donor fundraising for the Republican Party, serving as the Director of the Republican Regents and Team 100 programs for the Republican National Committee and as Director of Development for the National Republican Senatorial Committee. In addition, Louisa has extensive political campaign experience, having served as Finance Director for a $30M Senatorial race and a $100M Gubernatorial campaign, and as Deputy Finance Director for a Presidential campaign.
As a consultant, she has advised many other political campaigns and committees. Prior to working in politics, she worked in fundraising for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the National Gallery of Art. After 20 years of living in Washington, DC, Louisa considers herself a proud Washingtonian, and enjoys taking advantage of the District’s cultural institutions with her two children.
