As National Campaigner, Herb recruits, organizes, and trains a national network of grassroots volunteers and community leaders to help Common Cause accomplish its goals of holding power accountable and building a democracy that works for everyone.
Herb leads and supports national, state, and local campaign activities, mobilizations, and other advocacy networks to help Common Cause win and protect democracy reforms. Herb comes to Common Cause with a background in research and organizing.
Herb has a research background in LGBTQ advocacy, survivor advocacy, and criminal justice. He has also organized with NextGen America to mobilize young people to vote. Most recently, Herb organized for Senator Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign in Iowa and Texas. Herb holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, Law, and Justice as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Ethics and Public Policy from the University of Iowa.
