In anticipation of a vote on Emil Bove’s nomination to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, which includes Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, Common Cause is releasing the following statement:  

“All Pennsylvanians should oppose Emil Bove’s confirmation. Per a whistleblower, Bove suggested the Department of Justice ignore the law and say “F*** you,” to a court order,” said Philip Hensley-Robin, Pennsylvania Executive Director of Common Cause. “He has repeatedly put politics and his friends above fairness and the law, firing federal prosecutors and dropping charges as part of a corrupt deal with the Mayor of New York City as reported by career prosecutors working on the case. He’s not fit to be a judge. Call your senators and tell them to oppose Bove!
