Priorities
Democracy is in crisis and Oregon is not immune.
Online disinformation knows no borders. The Pacific Northwest is a breeding ground for hate groups that foment political violence. Oregon election workers face increased disruption, threats, and violence.
And yet, Oregon is also where we can trailblaze best practices.
We were the first state to go fully vote-by-mail, the first to adopt automatic voter registration, and a leader on many other democracy issues, with the country's highest voter participation.
Together, we must rise to this political moment – defending democracy while continuing the work to realize democracy's unfinished promise.
