Background on the Recent Court Activity<\/h4>\r\nLast year, the US Supreme Court\u00a0established a\u00a0voluntary\u00a0<\/i>code of conduct<\/a>. Since then, we have learned more about the\u00a0undisclosed travel and gifts<\/a>\u00a0given to justices by those with a stake in the important decisions made by our highest court.\r\n
\r\n\r\nPanel experts explored the consequences of recent gifts<\/a>, the potential conflicts of interest that they present, and\u00a0the refusal on the part of the justices to recuse themselves<\/a> when such situations arise.\r\n
