De kiezers van Ohio verdienen beter.\u201d<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cDe wetgevers van Ohio hebben van de kiezers een duidelijk mandaat gekregen om kiesdistricten te cre\u00ebren die hen werkelijk vertegenwoordigen \u2013 en niet de kortzichtige belangen van politieke medewerkers\u201d, aldus <\/span><b>Jen Miller, directeur van de League of Women Voters of Ohio. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cHelaas hebben de leiders van Ohio een chaotisch, partijdig proces en congresdistricten opgediend die geen respect tonen voor kiezers en de grondwet van Ohio. Hoewel de bijgewerkte kaart zijn scores voor Minority Representation en Splitting verbetert, krijgt hij lagere punten voor Proportionality, Competitiveness en Compactness. Deze voorgestelde kaart verzekert minimaal 11 Republikeinse zetels, met een meest waarschijnlijke uitkomst van 12 Republikeinse en 3 Democratische zetels. Cuyahoga County en Hamilton County blijven verdeeld in drie districten, en Cincinnati blijft opgesloten in een duidelijk gerrymanderd district in een duidelijke poging om de stedelijke stem te verwateren.
