Helaas bevatte het rapport van de conferentiecommissie niet alleen de verontrustende door de Senaat aangenomen taal, maar ging het zelfs nog verder door niet-gouvernementele entiteiten te verbieden om te &quot;samenwerken&quot; met overheidsfunctionarissen voor verkiezingsgerelateerde activiteiten.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span data-contrast=\"none\">De Ohio Voter Rights Coalition voert belangrijke programma&#039;s uit met lokale kiesraden en het kantoor van de minister van Buitenlandse Zaken om maatschappelijke betrokkenheid, kiezersvoorlichting en toegang tot stembiljetten te bevorderen. Deze ongecontroleerde taal lijkt alle vormen van samenwerking tussen niet-gouvernementele entiteiten te verbieden en zou de mogelijkheid van kiezers in Ohio om een ge\u00efnformeerde stem uit te brengen ernstig kunnen beperken.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span data-contrast=\"auto\">AGOCD37 en SENCD2 vormen een bedreiging voor de scheiding der machten door beperkingen op te leggen aan het aanvechten van staatswetten, waaronder oneerlijke herindelingswetten die dit jaar kunnen worden doorgevoerd.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Deze taal roept aanzienlijke zorgen op over de scheiding der machten door de procureur-generaal te verbieden schikkingen, overeenkomsten of toestemmingsbesluiten te sluiten tijdens een rechtszaak die de geldigheid van de staatswet aanvecht. Dit verbod is een te grote inmenging van de wetgevende macht in de autoriteit van de uitvoerende macht als een gelijkwaardige tak van de overheid die verantwoordelijk is voor de handhaving van de wetten die de Algemene Vergadering cre\u00ebert. Het toevoegen van ongecontroleerde, last-minute wijzigingen die van invloed zijn op herindelingsgeschillen aan de begroting schendt het duidelijke mandaat voor transparantie.
